Summer Drivers Ed Class

The summer drivers education class will be held from June 25-29 in the Elkin High School media center. Times are 8 am to 2 pm each day. Cost is $65, students will need to bring a lunch each day, no food will be provided. Students must be at least 14 1/2 years old to take the class. You may sign up in EHS office.

BETA Care Closet

The Beta Care Closet is asking for donations of gently used clothes such as coats, shoes, jeans, t-shirts, suits and formal dresses. The Beta Care Closet is also asking for donations of toiletries such as, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and school supplies. Donation boxes are located in various locations around the school and in the front office. All clothing donations can be made at the front office. Thank you for your support.

Summer Enrichment Opportunities

Every summer break affords students to apply for enrichment opportunities to enhance their abilities, have exposure to new and innovative ideas, and be a part of a group of peers who have similar interests. The summer of 2017, EHS students participated in an array of camps and sessions.

SMART Breakfast

Elkin High School will be modifying our daily schedule for the 2017-18 school year to incorporate a SMART Breakfast program. SMART is an acronym which stands for: Students Maximizing Achievement with Resources and Time.

In the Spotlight

Elkin students selected to sing in the Mars Hill University Festival Choir. Dylan Longworth, Isabella Brumfield and Marcus Orta were selected to sing with this prestigious choir out of over 1000 students who auditioned.
